FRIDAY 

Green Friday at Community Forklift
On Green Friday, celebrate community at Community Forklift! Face painting, Holiday treats, pictures with Santa & more!
When: 12-3pm
Where: Community Forklift, 4671 Tanglewood Dr, Edmonston
Cost: Free! (no entry fee)

Winter Workshop for Kids
While you get some time for yourself, children ages 4-12 are welcome to come to our school for three hours and make five lovely gifts. Kids will wrap the gifts so they can stay a surprise until it's time to open them. These are winter themed gifts and can apply to any holiday or gift giving occasion. When: 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm
Where: Silver Oaks Cooperative School, 3215 Powder Mill Road, Adelphi
Cost: $35/child

Watkins Festival of Lights
This spectacular holiday drive-through event features over one million twinkling lights, wonderful themed displays, & one of the tallest tree displays in the state! Don't forget to bring canned goods/non-perishable items for donation to local food banks. Cash only.
When: 5-9:30pm
Where: Watkins Regional Park, 301 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro
Cost: $10/car

SATURDAY 

Gingerbread Man Ornament
Run, run, run as fast as you can to this hands-on holiday workshop where you and your child can assemble a gingerbread picture frame that doubles as a Christmas ornament.Register here. While supplies last. (So get there early as they DO run out...)
When: 9am-12pm
Where: Home Depot, Hyattsville
Cost: Free!

Hyper Kidz - Indoor Playground
Let the kiddos burn off some energy at this huge indoor playground! Check out what to see and do from our time at Hyper Kidz Playground!
When: 9am-8pm
Where: Hyper Kidz, Columbia
Cost: $14 ages 1-2; $16 ages 3-13 (mention "Route One Fun" at register for $2/off ticket!)

Arts Drop-In Program: Clay Creations
Drop in for some free, hands-on creative fun facilitated by arts specialist Aaron Springer.
When: 10am-12pm
Where: College Park Community Center, College Park
Cost: Free!

Smaland at College Park's Ikea
Kids play in indoor playground while yo enjoy some shopping or just relax/eat/peoplewatch at the restaurant upstairs. Kiddos must be potty trained and be 37'' to 54'' tall (so children typically b/w ages of 3-6). Tips: (1) Best to arrive earlier on in the day as day progresses, so do the entrances lines; & (2) Join Ikea Family & kids get extra 30 minutes to play (depending on capacity) & you get free mildly-decent coffee!
When: 10:30am - 7pm

Admission: Free!

Jitterbug Club (Ages 2-6)
New class! Kiddos 2-6 will love this open play date filled with movement, music and fun (taught by Kendra and Marcel, 2 instructors at Joe's who are SOOOO good with kids and who the kiddos love!)
When: 11:15am-12:45pm
Where: Joe's Movement Emporium, Mt. Rainier
Cost: $10 drop-in.
