Storytime PopUp! @ The Waterhole
Join us for stories, songs, fingerplays and more at this innovation collaboration between PGCMLS & Mt. Rainier’s fabulous organic juice & smoothie joint, The Waterhole. Best for 0-5 years old. Curious? Click here for my review of The Waterhole!

Rockin to Rhythm
Calling all Preschoolers and Toddlers! Bust a move and shake your sillies out at the Rockin’ 2 Rhythm Storytime! Read here about what’s to love at the Laurel Library!

Harvest Moon Hayride
Kids, teens and adults can enjoy a brisk autumn Hayride along the Patuxent River. Drinks, snacks and entertainment will be held around a roaring bonfire. Pre-registration is held at Robert DiPietro Community Center.
When: 6-9pm
Where: Riverfront Park, 301 Main Street, Laurel
Cost: $4 (on site registration is $5)

Xtreme Teens: Dodgeball Mania
We will play multiple styles of dodgeball including Rim Dodge and Four Corner Dodge!
When: 7-9pm
Where: PG Plaza Community Center, 6600 Adelphi Rd, Hyattsville

Helicopter Workshop
Build a custom model military helicopter to spark a conversation with a Veteran about fighting large fires, moving troops, getting supplies to ships and transporting patients. Once the “helo” is complete, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. (Note – supplies do run out here so my advice is to register and attend on the earlier side of the morning!)
When: 9am-12pm

Toddler Time @ Art Works Now
Open studio time for toddlers and their accompanying adults. Even the youngest children can explore a variety of age-appropriate art materials in a safe, fun environment. What to expect? Pre-game Toddler Time with a delish morning coffee at Hyattsville’s Vigilante Coffee, walking distance to AWN and then to adjacent Pizzeria Paradiso for lunch!)

STEM for Families: Wild West Science (Ages 5-12)
Scientellers present…Venture to the frontier for hands on fun. Make the colors of the sunset appear with pH indicators. Create ‘firework’ sounds by creating chemical reactions.

Afternoon Aviators
Join us the first Saturday of every month as we explore a different aviation themed topic through STEAM-based, hands on activities. This is a drop-in program, fun for children.
When: 2pm
Where: College Park Aviation Museum, College Park

STEM for Families: Electric Vehicle Lab! (Ages 5-12)
Join Futuremakers to engineer electric moving machines that roll using a motor, battery, cool craft materials — and build essential circuit making skills. All vehicles go home!

Spanish English Ready 2 Read Storytime Ages 3-5
