The Observable Universe
Join for a discussion of afrofuturist films throughout the diaspora with Synatra Smith, Ph.D.  We will be exploring a compilation of films from the 70s to present.

Summer Concert Series – Mark Glass

Intro to Melt and Pour Soap Making with District Suds
In this fun-filled workshop, you will learn the basics of melt and pour soap making, general techniques and brief history. In addition, you will get to choose the soap base, fragrance, mold and colors to make a product that is uniquely you. At the end of this class, you will have practiced your new skills and made 5 personalized bars of soap that you can take home or give as a gift!

Sip & Dip Maryland Flag on Upcycled Pallets
We love our Maryland Flag and now you can create a Maryland flag instagram worthy! This event is going to be so fun! We will be creating these flags on upcycled heat treated pallets using custom vinyl stencils. NO CRAFTYNESS REQUIRED!

Wear your favorite bandana, bring your whistles, tambourines as we groove to some of the best in house, r & b, disco – you name it! Cyberjamz DJ Line Up, DJ Wesley Shaw SW3, DJ Derrick Dlow, Singlefield, DJ Tim Soundscience, DJ VAL! This is a BYOB & food affair. Seating is limited so bring your chair or canopy as it gets hot!

University of Maryland Curatorial Student Exhibition
In collaboration with the Brentwood Arts Exchange and under the direction of Professor Jason Kuo, University of Maryland art students curate, design and produce exhibition centered around the theme of transnationalism and featuring the work of local artists.

Sunday Funday Paint & Watch Party 
This event features a 2-hour guided art instruction session of a “GOD IS DOPE” themed painting. Live streaming of Zion Church Landover’s 1:15pm service and urban/contemporary gospel music selections. Complimentary refreshments, BYOF & BYOB. Limited space; tickets must be purchased in advance.
