STEM-Fun at Diven’s Den
Check out this new-to-you STEM-inspired playroom, teaching the kiddos about life in 1800s Laurel. Curious? Read my review of Diven’s Den!

Calling all Preschoolers and Toddlers! Bust a move and shake your sillies out at the Rockin’ 2 Rhythm Storytime! Ages birth to 5 with caregiver.

Forklift First Friday
We love checking out this monthly event by Community Forklift! Always live music, tasty beer (pop up a la Town Center Market), good food truck eats, local art, kids activities (face painting!) and your chance to explore the potential of CF’s goods for sale! Berwyn Heights Day 
Come out for the annual celebration of our Town. Meet other residents, find out about clubs and committees, and enjoy a day full of activities: Fun Run, Pancake Breakfast, Parade, Civic Awards, Food, Games, Vendors and more.
When: 8am-4pm
Where: Town Center & Sports Park, Berwyn Heights
Cost: No entry fee

Riverdale Park Station Playground Grand Opening 
Celebrate the grand opening of this fun, new playground! Free refreshments, balloons, live music! 10:30am: ABCs of Yoga, 11:15am Super Hero Book Reading from Children’s Choice.
When: 10am-12pm
Where: Riverdale Park Station (Playground is off Woodberry, straight back behind Bear Square)

Annual Spring Fair 
Free bucket truck rides, carnival games, and arts & crafts; Greenbelt’s Got Talent Show; concessions and Scholastic Books available for sale; and an amazing silent auction with lots of great goodies from local companies up for bid. All proceeds benefit the GES PTA for 2018-19 classroom support.
When: 10am-1pm (rain or shine!

Free Comic Book Day!
Help us celebrate Comic Books. Free comics all day, discounts on everything in the store. Addition free items with purchase. First 50 people in line get special free items.When: 11am-7pm

Join us for the opening weekend of our boating operations. Games, food, entertainers, hayrides, moonbounce, dance demos, D.J., balloons and special guest costume characters round out the day!

Life Cycle of a Butterfly Workshop (Ages 5-12)
Learn the life cycle of butterflies and then recreate the life cycle using pasta!

Community Art Drop-In
Learn to draw the natural world from observation and take field notes with Jamie Jorgensen of Greenbelt Biota! Bring an item from nature that you would like to draw, or draw a pinecone that we provide!

Cost: Free!

STEM for Families: Use the Force, Lightly (Ages 5-12)
Children will work together with each other, or parents, to use household objects to make a DIY Lightsaber light bottle.

Afternoon Aviators
Every month we will explore a different aviation themed topic through STEM-based, hands on activities. Fun for children ages 6 & up.
When: 2pm
Where: College Park Aviation Museum, 1985 Corporal Frank Scott Drive, College Park
Cost: $5/person includes museum admission and supplies

Star Party
See the universe! Visit Astronomical Society of Greenbelt’s observatory, look through club members’ telescopes, or bring your own. Adults and children are welcome. Event will be cancelled if it’s too cloudy to see any stars.
When: 9pm
Where: Northway Fields Park, Greenbelt (Observatory is at the end of a dirt road)
Cost: Free!
