Riverdale Park Farmers Market
One of my fave farmers markets moves indoors for the winter! Get your fresh and local produce right here! We love strolling around the Riverdale Park Farmers Market, buying some fresh, local produce, grabbing a bite from one of the vendors and then heading to Town Center Market for a tasty beverage.

Inferno Pilates

Opening Reception – The Elements that Define Us 
This mixed media exhibition, highlighting color, materials, and composition style, presents a contemporary perspective of the Black American experience. The exhibition will highlight portraits of the DC Metropolitan community and address the stylistic elements used to express the Black American experience locally and beyond.

Zumba Happy Hour
Ease into the weekend with an awesome Zumba class taught by instructor Chantal Ross – who will have you with a smile on your face as you dance the evening away!

Etienne Charles: Creole Soul
One of the most compelling and exciting young jazz artists ushering the genre into groundbreaking new territory is trumpeter and bandleader Etienne Charles. In this performance, he buoyantly taps into a myriad of styles rooted in his Afro-Caribbean background and explores the musical depths of the islands, from calypso to Haitian voodoo music.

Dreaming of Fresh Vegetables? Colorful Flowers? Have a Gardening Question? You’ll find what you want. We will have a wide selection of Hart’s and Southern Exposure seeds, chosen by expert local gardeners to work well in your Hyattsville garden!

Civil War Soliders: Discovering the Men of the 25th U.S. Colored Troops – An Exhibition
After viewing an antique photo album of 17 Black soldiers from the Civil War, artist Shayne Davidson researched, created a family tree, wrote a biography, and drew a life-sized, colored pencil portrait of each man. The result is now a book and exhibit of the same name. Illustrations and biographies from the book will be on display.When: 11am-4pm

Introduction to Machine Sewing – A Primer Class

International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella
Varsity Vocals is the home of student a cappella since 1995. The top two groups from this event will go on to compete in the ICCA Mid-Atlantic Semifinal.

An Artful Afternoon

We The: How Civic Engagement has Shaped Laurel
From saving the Laurel railroad station, to the fight for integration of schools, to defeating the proposed Redskin Stadium, the timely exhibit demonstrates how engaged average citizens have shaped and continue to shape the story of Laurel.
