Riverdale Park Farmers Market
One of my fave farmers markets! Get your fresh and local produce right here! Live music, too! We love strolling around the Riverdale Park Farmers Market, buying some fresh, local produce, grabbing a bite from one of the vendors, absorbing some tunes while the kids frolic around and then we all head to Town Center Market to enjoy a tasty beer or 5 outside.
When: 3-7pm

Footloose & Ready to Dance 
Dance Dance Party Party is a women-only freestyle exercise dance session! Come in your exercise clothes.  Burn anywhere from 200-400 calories  Dance your heart out to an eclectic mix of music for an hour straight. Make new friends, leave refreshed!
When: 7-8pm

Concerts in the Park – The Crawdaddies!
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy this free concert by The Crawdaddies, a nationally touring band based out of Baltimore that infuse Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Roots and Reggae into an incomparable, grrove-laden sound that is unquestionably its own.
When: 7-8:30pm

Aqua Zumba
No experience needed, all skill and fitness levels can enjoy and benefit. The water supports your joints nicely if you have some mobility limits, and if not, you can gear up for a very good workout.When: 7-8pm
Where: Ellen E. Linson Pool, 5211 Campus Drive, College Park
Cost: $6 (don’t need to belong to the pool or have SmartLink to participate)

Chamber Music Showcase – National Orchestral Institute 
Hear the young artists o the National Orchestral institute perform in chamber music groups ranging from percussion ensembles to double-bass sextets and everything in between.
When: 7:30pm
Where: The Clarice, Gildenhorn Recital Hall, College Park

Live Music Thursdays: Alex Martin Trio Feat Chris Barrick 
Eat some good Mediterranean food, support a local Mt. Rainier restaurant and enjoy some New World Jazz original by Alex Martin Trio featuring Chris Barrick! Always a fun time and can attest that their falafels (ask for the “special sauce”) & dolmadas will make you return for more!

Linda Harris Quintet
Linda Harris returns from her award winning cruise with Dave Koz just in time for summertime!

College Park ParkRun
Head out on for a weekly, free, 5K, timed run. Afterwards, enjoy a post parkrun coffee in The Board & Brew, 8150 Baltimore Ave, College Park. All ages welcome! **Psst – The Wall Street Journal is working on a feature article about Parkrun in the US and today’s College Park run is going to be the highlighted event so please turn out!
When: Saturdays at 9 a.m.
Where: Paint Branch Trail, 4289 Metzerott Road, College Park
Admission: Free but please register before your first run.

Yoga in the Parks
Join us for FREE yoga classes in the beautiful outdoors! Learn basic moves to strengthen your body, increase flexibility and free your mind. Classes run Memorial Day through Labor Day and are for ages 13+. No registration is required. Namaste!

Acoustic Blues Jam
Musicians of all skill levels are welcome to join in, and many music-lovers stop by just to listen. Besides being a good time for everyone, Saturdays at the Barbershop allow the young to learn from the old and the Piedmont blues tradition to be passed down to the next generation.

Evening Boat Tour of the Anacostia River 
Join us for a pontoon boat ride of the scenic Anacostia River.  Routs are open to the public. Boat tour tickets are sold at the park office the day of the tour.

Cost: $2 residents; $3 nonresidents

Join this multiple WAMMIE-nominated band for some classic honky tonk, original roots songs, and vintage country from the 1940s-1970s.

Coffee Ride
Our weekly ride to Vigilante Coffee in Hyattsville for caffeinated goodness. Bring cash/cc, lock. Approximately 12 miles round trip, mostly trails, some on-road riding. Helmets required.
When: 10am-12pm

Cost: Free!

Greenbelt Farmers Market
Check out this cool & big farmers market offering produce, pasture-raised meats, sustainable seafood, soaps, crepes, ice cream, breads and baked goods, goat cheese & more! While there, let your ears soak up some Transatlantic Crossing and their fiddle-n tunes (think “toe-tapping Irish and Scottish jigs and reels!”) When done shopping, head to the New Deal Cafe for some nosh and/or a coffee by Vigilante!
When: 10am-2pm

Arts at the Waterfront – Music – Oasis Island Sounds
Join this Sunday evening as the waterfront springs to life with music and entertainment – this Sunday, featuring the reggae and calypso sounds of Oasis Island Sounds!
