The weather may be gloomy but this weekend’s lineup is chock-full-O-FUN!  We’ve got Earth Day festivities, Springtime Egg Hunt, Rockin-2-Rhythm, a She-Vision-Board-Brunch, a Spring Break Bicycle Tour, a Rainbow Rock Band and a Gamer Symphony Orchestra.  You read that right.  Really, people.  So. Earth Day at Patuxent Research Refuge
Celebrate Earth Day by learning how you can Reduce, Reuse and Recycle to benefit wildlife and the planet. Program includes hands-on activities, games and crafts for ages 3+.

Toddler Time @ Art Works Now

Discovery Cart Days – Lift Off!

Learn about thrust, drag, and Newton’s Three Laws of Motion while making a balloon rocket. A Museum educator will engage you with hands-on materials from the education collection that will help explore these themes through interactive questions, experiments, and activities!

Rockin’ 2 Rhythm

The Power of She Vision Board Brunch
Are you looking for something inspirational and stimulating for your daughter to do during Spring Break? This brunch will help your child answer the self-reflection question, “Who Am I?” Young ladies will participate in self-esteem building activities and thought-provoking conversation while enjoying a scrumptious brunch. Reservations are required.

Spring Break Bicycle Tour
Wrap up your Spring Break with an afternoon guided bicycle tour along the new Anacostia River Trail. Bicycles and helmets are provided. Ages 10 & up.

Family Movie Series: April & the Extraordinary World

Open Gym at PG Sports & Learning Complex
If you haven’t checked this place out yet with your energetic 1-12 year old(s), then let this be the day! This place is really great. HUGE. Two climbing walls. Two foam pits. Tons of equipment for curious ones to explore and blow off some steam. Very clean. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents are required to be on the floor with the children (Maximum 3 child:1 adult).

Spring Skate Series (Ages 8-13)
Bring the family and join your friends at the Springhill Lake Recreation Center gymnasium. Roller-skates provided free of charge or bring your own.

Forward Motion Dance Company 2017 Showcase
Check out this student-run organization founded on contemporary dance and their showcase of the pieces the company has worked on for the past year. Maybe you have a budding dancer who would benefit from seeing others move in these inspiring ways!

Are you ready to rock the rainbow? The Rainbow Rock Band will entertain your little ones with tunes laughs and more! Winners of a Parents’ Choice Fun Stuff Award for their debut CD, “Meet the Rainbow,” an absolute mix of musical genres from folk, to rock, to rockabilly, all the while being EDUCATIONAL and FUN!!! Gamer Symphony Orchestra

Come out for a fantastic evening of live, orchestrated video game music performed by the Gamer Symphony Orchestra at UMD! We have prepared many wonderful selections like pieces from Pokemon, Uncharted, Donkey Kong, Zelda, and more. Our mission is to bridge the worlds of video games and the performing arts and promote orchestral VGM as an art form.

Indian Creek Playground
Any time this weekend, check out this really fun and creative playground designed after Berwyn Heights’ earliest residents – a group of Algonquian people known as Nacotchtank.
