Toddler Time @ Art Works Now
Open studio time for toddlers and their accompanying adults. Nature Imprints: Celebrate Spring with us today by using leaves and flowers to create clay imprints!

Storytime PopUp!  @ The Waterhole

Build a Bunny Basket
Kids can build their own bunny basket, perfect for keeping Easter treats a short hop away. Once the basket is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers.
When: 9am-12pm

Hey! Let’s Go Fishing
Fishing is a great way to get kids outdoors, learn about nature and just have fun! This program, at an eight-acre, catch and release bass pond, is a great way for beginners to learn the basics of fishing. Equipment is provided.
When: 9-11am

Bagels with Bunny
Children will enjoy eating bagels with the Bunny and participating in an Egg Hunt. There will also be arts and crafts and refreshments available.
When: 9:30-11:30am

Bicycle Rodeo
Bring your bike and helmet and check out a cool safety challenge course, trail ride at Lake Artemesia and more! Coordinated as part of UMD’s Good Neighbor Day!

Greenbelt Elementary School Spring Fair & Yard Sale!
The School’s PTA presents their annual Spring Fair, including bucket truck rides, fire truck and ambulance, K-9 demo and police vehicle, arts & crafts, carnival games, live music and a Greenbelt’s Got Talent show!  Check it out and support a great local school!
When: 10am-1pm

Local Authors’ Book Signing Event
Always interested in supporting the local community, we are thrilled to be selling books by local authors, featuring children’s books from pre-readers through high school! Authors will be on hand signing copies of their books and reading some passages. We will have some nibbles from our bakery and sampling drinks from local vendors too!

Ready to Read Storytime
Bring your toddler and join us for stories, songs, fingerplays and more!

My First Swan Lake 
Join us for a family-friendly performance of My First Swan Lake, perfect for children ages 3-12. The performance will be one hour long and include a meet and greet with our dancers and a ballet craft.
When: 3pm

Cost: $20; Children 3 and under are free! 


Stream Clean-Up & UPCA Sustainability Fair
Show your kiddo(s) you’re more than just an armchair politician and together join in this effort to clean up University Park Town Stream.  This cleanup is coodinated with the area-wide Alice Ferguson Foundation’s 29th Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup.  Coffee, juice, doughnuts aplenty!  We did it last time and kiddos definitely enjoyed stomping through the creek in rain boots, inspecting curious rocks, etc. 
When: 8:30-10am
Where: Meet at University Park’s Soccer Field on Queens Chapel Road

Smaland at College Park’s Ikea

Free, 1 hour, supervised, enclosed, safe & clean play area near the entrance.  Enjoy some shopping or just relax/eat/peoplewatch at the restaurant upstairs while your young one(s) has a blast at Smaland.  Children must be potty trained and be 37” to 54” tall (so children typically b/w ages of 3-6).  Tips: (1) Best to arrive earlier on in the day as day progresses, so do the entrances lines; & (2) Join Ikea Family & kids get extra 30 minutes to play (depending on capacity) & you get free coffee!

Community Art Drop-In: Creative Workshop
Enjoy free hands-on workshops. All materials are provided and reservations are not required. In addition, enjoy art gallery and Greenbelt Museum exhibits at your leisure. Creative Workshop led by Gina Denn, Artist in Residence.
When: 1-3pm

Model Rocket Launches 
Like to build model rockets, but don’t have a launch pad? Now you do! Anyone can bring a model to fly at the Goddard Visitor Center rocket launches; there are no costs or fees to participate. Rockets, motors and supplies are available for purchase at the nearby Goddard Gift Shop (and many hobby shops or toy stores) and you can even get rocket construction and launch tips from our on-site experts on launch day! Admission: Free!

Sunday Family Ice Skating!
For each adult admission, 2 kids get free admission.  Huge indoor ice skating rink with a warming hut and a snack bar – what else do you need?!
When: 2-4pm (Family session)
Where:  Herbert Wells Ice Rink, 5211 Campus Drive, College Park
Cost: $5 + skate rental fees.
