Xtreme Teens: Smoothie Night

Patuxent Birthday Bash! 
Join us for our annual Refuge System Birthday Bash as we celebrate the work of 566 wildlife refuges across the US and its territories.  This year’s theme is “Awareness & Action” and we will be sharing ways to help wildlife through fun activities like – Build a Bee Box, Living History Docents, Crafts for Kids, watch Rodney’s Raptors & more! 
When: 10am-3pm

Pirate Party with Mr. Gabe 
This second annual Pirate Party will feature a special concert from local children’s singer Mr. Gabe and a treasure hunt with games, crafts and prizes. Photobooth and snacks will also be available at an additional cost. Costumes encouraged! All net proceeds will go toward improvements at the day school. Cash only, please.
When: 10am-2pm
Where: St. Matthews Parish Day School, 5901 36th Ave, Hyattsville
Cost: Entry is $10 per child; $5 per additional child within the same family.  

Join us as we showcase the creativity and skill of kite enthusiasts from all over. We will feature various competitions and demonstrations, as well as food and shop vendors. Children can bring their own kite, or use the arts and crafts area to make their own. All ages!

Bibliobop Dance Party 
Come and bust a move and shake your sillies out at the Greenbelt Bibliobop Dance Party! Bring your parents or caregivers and prepare to boogie and bop until we drop!  Ages 0-5.

Engineering 101 
What is an engineer? Engineers are people who design and build things to solve specific problems. Learn the basics of engineering through an interactive, hands-on design challenge by creating your own design from drawing to prototype. Ages 8 & up.

Sunday Experiment – Earth Science!
Discover how NASA uses satellites to study our planet by creating your own digital images. Hands-on coloring activities will demonstrate how satellite data are turned into images that scientists use to study our planet. These images can reveal details about our planet, from the landscape of Earth’s surface to the chemistry of the atmosphere. Join us for story time as we follow Echo the Bat’s adventure above the deserts and forests in Arizona.  Activities best suited for 5-10 year olds.
When: 1-3pm

Super Hero Zumba Glow Party
Come dressed as your favorite Super Hero to win prizes and help us celebrate your favorite Zumba Instructor’s (Tyra) birthday! Snacks will be provided.  Ages 6 and up. 
When: 2:30-4pm
Where: Langley Park Community Center, 1500 Merrimac Drive, Hyattsville
Cost: $5 residents/$7 nonresidents

Smaland at College Park’s Ikea

Free, 1 hour, supervised, enclosed, safe & clean play area near the entrance.  Enjoy some shopping or just relax/eat/peoplewatch at the restaurant upstairs while your young one(s) has a blast at Smaland.  Children must be potty trained and be 37” to 54” tall (so children typically b/w ages of 3-6).  Tips: (1) Best to arrive earlier on in the day as day progresses, so do the entrances lines; & (2) Join Ikea Family & kids get extra 30 minutes to play (depending on capacity) & you get free coffee! 
When: 10:30am – 7pm
