CAMPspace Preview Cowork Days

Tai Chi
Take it slow and enjoy the movement through the study of Tai Chi Chun long form. Try a new class

Dance Dance Party Party!
Dance Dance Party Party is a women-only freestyle exercise dance session! Come in your exercise clothes. Burn anywhere from 200-400 calories Dance your heart out to an eclectic mix of music for an hour straight. Make new friends, leave refreshed!

Thursday Night Open Mic hosted by E-Baby
For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices, and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians and a different host every week.

FRIDAY 

Not Too High, Not Too Low
Enjoy a leisurely coffee at Vigilante, then pop over to Pyramid to check out this awesome exhibit hat invited comic book/zine artists and cartoonists from the DMV to make work for a gallery setting.

Join artist/curator Tomora Wright for a Sip and Paint celebrating the beauty of the female form. This event will feature one-on-one time with the curator, step-by-step instructions to create your very own work of art, and an open bar of wine and light refreshments.

Menage A Garage
Yes, I was drawn to this band by its witty name. Gave them a listen on BandCamp and they're definitely up the pop-punk alley side of things. "Alyson lays down the beats on kit while Jenny's bass sheds grooves under the silky sheen of JB's guitar and vocals. Saturday Ride to March for Our Lives
We're riding down to the March for our Lives in DC. It's about 15 miles each way. I doubt that metro will allow bikes that day, so be prepared for round trip by bike. The march starts at noon. We're not sure about any bike valet or if bikes will be allowed along the march. Feel free to post here if you have any intel. Proteus is not affiliated with the March, just leading a ride to the event.

Movin' with the Mayor! iSadcie

Harmonica Class with David Harris 
David plays harmonica in Full Power Blues band. One of the top blues band in the DC area. A former regular at AEBHF, who played harp at the barbershop back when Archie Edwards himself, was presiding over the Saturday jams. Come and learn from one of DC's premiere harp players!

CAMPspace Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Welcome and check out this collaborative work space for independent workers, entrepreneurs, small business owners and more looking to grow their business ventures!

HER Story Art Installation, Speak Panel & Social! 
In honor of Women's History month, Color Story Creative is proud to present HER STORY, an art installation which uses the power of female creativity to celebrate and amplify women's voices. The panel + meet & greet portion of the evening will take place from 4-6 p.m. and will be a ticketed event which includes a locally curated swag bag. HER STORY art installation opens from 6-9 p.m. at Studio SoHy and is free to all. Check out my post about Color Story Creative here!

Night at the Club
Eat, Play, Dance, Lounge at this gala celebrating 20 years of Club Joe's and the amazing individuals who have made Club Joe's the incredible program it is today, including Margaret and Pamela Boozer-Strother! There'll be four fabulous clubs to choose from at this party, including a Night Club, Jazz Club, Karaoke Club and Club Joes!

The Split Seconds with Accidents, Curse Words, Braceface
Formed in 2015, The Split Seconds exploded onto the DC music scene with their unique style of no-frills classic pop-punk. Rising from the ashes of Dischord Records' The Coastals, frontman Drew Champion sought to put together a project combining the energy of late-70's Punk with undertones of 60's pop, and garage rock.

SUNDAY


Anyone can make a zine: all you need is some paper, a writing utensil, copy machine, and a desire to create. Meet the artists from not too high, not too low and learn how to get started designing your very own self-published, no rules art piece. Join DC's long tradition of DIY, counterculture art! This is a free, walk-in workshop open to all ages and levels of experience!
