FRIDAY 

Storytime PopUp! @ The Waterhole
Join us for stories, songs, fingerplays and more at this innovation collaboration between PGCMLS & Mt. Rainier's fabulous organic juice & smoothie joint, The Waterhole. Best for 0-5 years old. Curious? Click here for my review of The Waterhole!

Rockin to Rhythm
Calling all Preschoolers and Toddlers! Bust a move and shake your sillies out at the Rockin' 2 Rhythm Storytime! Read here about what's to love at the Laurel Library!

Smaland at College Park's Ikea
Kids play in indoor playground while yo enjoy some shopping or just relax/eat/peoplewatch at the restaurant upstairs. Kiddos must be potty trained and be 37'' to 54'' tall (so children typically b/w ages of 3-6). Tips: (1) Best to arrive earlier on in the day as day progresses, so do the entrances lines; & (2) Join Ikea Family & kids get extra 30 minutes to play (depending on capacity) & you get free mildly-decent coffee!

Gymnastics Workshop / Open Gym at PG Sports & Learning Complex
This place is really great for 1-12 year olds! HUGE. Two climbing walls. Two foam pits. Tons of equipment for curious ones to explore and blow off some steam. Very clean. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents are required to be on the floor with the children (Maximum 3 child:1 adult). Check out my review here!

Chicken Soup w/ Rice
Neighborhood music fun at the Old Parish House! Hosted by Eric Maring "Mr. M", Allison Hughes, and some amazing kids. Bring your family and friends to be a part of the wonderful songs and stories.

SATURDAY 

Valentine Bean Bag Toss
Score points with your loved ones and build a Valentine bean bag toss in this hands-on workshop. You and your child can construct a fun bean bag toss game for the whole family to love. Tip: Arrive early, supplies do run out. When: 9am-12pm

HAP Valentine Event - Put Art in Your Heart
Make valentines for your loved ones and make an extra for HAP to deliver to a neighborhood senior. Live music by The Sligo Creek Recorder Club and instant photos/dress up fun!

Toddler Time @ Art Works Now

Afternoon Aviators: Simulators and African-American Pilots (Ages 6+)
Many barriers stood in the way of African-Americans becoming pilots, notably access to education. This month we will learn about African-American pilots who persevered through many obstacles while we try “flying” aircraft from different eras of aviation on simulators.

Once Upon A Windy Day (Ages 5-7)

Gametime @ Board & Brew
Board & Brew is a fun place to check out with your 5+year-old crowd. Why? Read my review here. With over 500 board games including Operation, Perfection, Hungry Hippos, etc., you'll easily have a good time! Speaking of eating up, they also have a good menu of kid-friendly options. And for my fellow coffee afficionados, they rotate between Vigilante, Mad Cap and Counter Culture coffee - so you'll be sure to get a tasty, quality brew while you're there!
