This weekend's lineup promises to open your mind and with The One-Mile Radius Project, improve your flexibility with offerings of both Tai Chi & Yoga, get your pulse movin' while watching a hip-hop dance competition & even a wine tasting to balance it out!  More - All here, all local, all this weekend!

FRIDAY 

Free Tai Chi Class

Boordy Wine Tasting
Yup - we're tasting a local winner. Join us this Friday for a special sampling of award winning wines from Boordy Vineyards. We will be sampling their Albariño, Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin Merlot, Petit Cab, and Zinberry. I think you'll agree there is a little something for everyone in this tasting.

Join us to officially kick-off this year's Open Studios Tour!  Learn more about getting involved with OST, enjoy music and refreshments, view the gallery, and take part in a creative activity provided by Artist and Craftsman Supply of Hyattsville. NextLOOK: Orange Grove Dance: The One-Mile Radius Project
Orange Grove Dance will investigate the personal and uniquely traversed spaces of the community. Dance, film and projection will be used to zoom into and magnify the intimate nooks and crevices of seemingly familiar spaces and, in turn, bring those outside spaces inside the walls of Joe’s.
When: 7-9pm

Weekday Players End of Semester Performance
The Weekday Players is proud to present Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang for their annual spring production! This hilarious play begins with two siblings living together (unhappily) in their family home. This family is sure to crack you up during their antics surrounding life, love and loss.

TGIF Yoga at Love Studios 
Unwind at this relaxing class as we gently move our bodies in a soothing and kind way. Great for beginners and those who with no yoga experience.

SATURDAY 

Hollywood Community Garden 
Help build the Hollywood Community Garden!  Now's your chance to say, "Hey! I built that!" :)
When: 9am-12pm

Deck & Patio Staining Workshop
Learn about a range of innovative products designed to cut through the grime and leave a clean surface.  Will also show you how to select and operate the right pressure washer to speed clean your desk or patio. Lastly, we'll show you how to select the right stain or waterproof seal for your wood deck.
When: 10-11:15am

Painting Basics
Join Mark Wardlaw of B.N.V Remodeling as he discusses the basics of painting. Learn how to properly prepare surfaces and apply paint. The workshop will include a hands-on demonstration using rollers and brushes, discussions on types of paint protection, paint sheens, and different applications.
When: 11am-1pm

Spring Greening Fair 2017 
Have some fun at this sustainability and affordable "green" living event!  Activities, demonstrations and vendors will feature gardening, recycling, local produce, energy efficiency, green roofs, music, crafts, animals and more!
When: 12-5pm
Where: Mt. Rainier Nature & Recreation Center, 4701 31st Pl, Mt. Rainier 


Rip the Floor 
Rip The Floor is an annual hip-hop dance competition/showcase hosted by Dynamic Dance Team at the University of Maryland, College Park. Many teams and crews from around the East Coast of the United States participate either to put on a great show or for a possible grand prize of $500!
When: 7pm
Where: The Clarice, Dekelboum Concert Hall

Mission Control 
This feature documentary covers the first journeys to the moon by Apollo 8 and Apollo 11, and the huge effort required to save the crew of Apollo 13. Guests will join us for a moderated discussion after the film, including retired NASA engineer Bud Durand and Network Controller assigned to several Apollo missions, George Ojalehto

Take Laughter with You 
Clowns Without Borders performs for displaced people all over the world. Come experience the joy of circus, and learn how we use laughter to transform communities in crisis. Watch a world-class performance of acrobats, jugglers, aerialists, and clowns! Hear artists share their stories about performing in refugee camps and conflict zones worldwide.
When: 8pm

SUNDAY 

Yoga Gives: Planned Parenthood
Our practice inspires us to work for the peace and happiness of all humans and creatures.  From time to time, we'll host donation classes to benefit causes that we love and support.

  1. I will definitely come check this place again with some other awesome friends of mine! It's one of best places for having a good time with a joyous feeling. And LA venue fascinates me with its great style and vibrant atmosphere.
